Product Description
The Taylored Toys Wooden Pretend Play Dish Set is a 16-piece starter set of small wooden bowls, plates, cups and spoons, made for tea parties, play kitchens and the kind of potions that only make sense to a four-year-old.
Each piece is sized for small hands and finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax to bring out the wood grain. Everything packs into a canvas drawstring bag, so the whole set can head out to the porch, the garden or a picnic blanket.
Why Parents Love It
- Complete little set: 4 bowls, 4 plates, 4 cups and 4 spoons, enough for a child and three guests.
- Sized for small hands: bowls and plates are 2.5 inches wide, cups are 1.75 inches wide and 2 inches tall, and spoons are 3.5 inches long.
- Natural finish: Taylored Toys finishes each piece with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax.
- Open-ended: made for tea parties and pretend cooking, and Taylored Toys suggests it for potion play and sensory bin scooping too.
- Canvas storage bag: keeps all 16 pieces together at home or on the go.
- Plastic-free: wood pieces and a canvas bag.
Built for Real Outdoor Use
Some of the best kitchens have no walls. Set the table on a tree stump, serve acorn soup and pinecone stew, or fill the tiny cups with petals and call it a potion. These dishes are just right for the slow, imaginative play that happens in a garden corner or under the porch.
They are equally at home in a play kitchen, a nature basket or a Montessori-inspired shelf, and they make a simple, screen-free gift for little cooks.
Things to Know
- Safety: per Taylored Toys, the pieces can be a choking hazard and are not intended for children under 3 or anyone who may put things in their mouth.
- Pretend play only: for play, not for serving real food or drinks.
- Wet play: if the dishes get muddy or wet, we recommend rinsing and letting them air-dry. Do not soak them or put them in the dishwasher.
- Natural wood: grain and tone vary from piece to piece.

Why ODSS Recommends It
For little ones who love to cook, serve and stir, this is a sweet, simple set that works as well on a tree stump as it does in a play kitchen.
We especially like that it packs into its own bag, so a tea party can happen anywhere the afternoon takes you outside.
