Product Description
The Taylored Toys Wood Acorn Sorting Game is a little set of wooden acorns, bowls and a scoop, made for counting, sorting, pouring and the quiet focus that comes with filling every bowl just right.
Each piece is finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax to bring out the wood grain, and everything packs into a canvas drawstring bag for the shelf, the car or a picnic blanket.
Why Parents Love It
- Plenty to sort: 18 wooden acorns, about 1.25 inches tall and 1 inch wide, with 6 wooden bowls.
- Scoop included: a 4-inch wooden scoop for transferring acorns from bowl to bowl.
- Hands-on skills: Taylored Toys designed it for counting, pouring, scooping, stacking and fine motor play.
- Natural finish: food-grade mineral oil and beeswax bring out the wood grain.
- Open-ended: count them, sort them, serve them as acorn soup or hide them in the garden.
- Canvas storage bag: keeps all 25 pieces together.
Built for Real Outdoor Use
Acorns already belong outside. Bring the set out to a stump or the porch steps and watch the game grow: real acorns join the wooden ones, pinecones get their own bowl, and counting turns into collecting.
It is just as good on a rainy afternoon inside, and it fits right in on a Montessori-inspired shelf or in a fall nature basket.
Things to Know
- Safety: per Taylored Toys, the pieces can be a choking hazard and are not intended for children under 3 or anyone who may put things in their mouth.
- Finished version: this listing is the oil-and-beeswax finished set.
- Keep it dry: if pieces get wet or muddy, wipe them and let them air-dry. Do not soak them.
- Natural wood: grain and tone vary from piece to piece.
